Hi guys,
It's been quite a while since I've written, but I have been busy around here... Over the past week, we have been doing a lot of tax work, and I've been doing school, and all sorts of other stuff, like doing chores in the nasty blizzard that came through here!
Well, I've seen a lot worse blizzards, but it was a severe turn towards the nasty side from the nice winter we've been having. ;) But the good side is that we now have plenty of snow to snowmobile... :D Also, Hrystiayan, if your wondering, I am still waiting for my dirt bike part to come... >:(
Last Wednesday, we all suited up, and brought all of the cows into the lot, and sorted all of the stray calves off. Then, we got the rest of the calves moved over to a different pen, and then we hauled them all into town to the salesbarn.
We got a very good price for the calves this year, so we are very happy about that! I saved back 2 heifers, and sold 2 steers, and I got $1,900 bucks! :D:D That money will go into more cows, by the way. ;) Anyway, I see it is time to go again, so I will talk to you all later.
Jacob B. ;)

Randomness. ;-)
Hi all,
It is snowing here right now, and I don't know whether to be happy or sad. ;-) I have to correct my last post: Cora did not work in town that day. (read comments) Anyway, Today, Cora is working on Andrew's computer, trying to come up with a logo for our farm right now, so I am trying to write and give suggestions to. :-)
Dad and Andrew are outside working on the building, trying to get some rafters put up before the sheeting on top gets wet. Mom is doing a session right now, (what's new) and I am working on finishing up my school.
Cora just locked up the computer, and we don't know if it will work itself out of it. :-S Oh, it just worked. :-) Anyway, yesterday, Dad's cousin, Jerome came to help us work the cattle, but I will let somebody else write about that. I had better go.
Bye,
Jacob

Moving Cows.
Hi all,

Last Sunday, we moved the cows home. I had a little bit of a cold, so I took our old beater, Mom took the van, Andrew had his bike, Dad had my bike, and Cora took the 4-wheeler. ;-)
I will post a few pictures somewhere here. ;-)
Anyway, Dad, Andrew, and Cora went to where the cows were, and Mom and I took a better road, and then a trail, in such a way, that when the cows came, we would turn them so that they would turn and take the trail. Then, as it was hard to go in the vehicles, Mom and I went back and around the pasture. We got up to the road that the cows would come out on, and the more able vehicles brought the cows.
When we could see the cows, Mom got in front, Dad took the left, Cora took the right, and I fell in the back to join Andrew in moving the slow ones. When we got them close to home, we turned them into the alfalfa field on the back of our farm, and Mom and I let the the lighter vehicles take them in the pasture where Dad had taken the fence down earlier.
That's about it, here are some pictures. These first three are everybody getting ready to go, and the other two were taken by mom on the road.
Gotta go,
Jacob
