Story Chapter 10

That night they camped out in the woods, and in the morning they continued their ride into town. When they arrived in Clark, they went straight to the sheriffs office to report their arrival, as Frank was appointed to find Billy, and was told to report the local sheriff upon arrival.

"Hi, I am Frank Smith, and I am here to find Billy the Kid, and this is my new friend, James Larson." said Frank to the sheriff. "Glad you could come. He is causing a lot of trouble in this part of the country." said the sheriff, whose name was Sam Rogers. As they would be working together to find Billy, they each told each other what they knew.

Story Chapter 9

As Frank and James were riding towards the closest town, Clark, they came across this dead bear, fallen right in the middle of the road. Being rather hungry, and in need of provisions, they decided to stop, skin it, cut it up, and take it along with them.

As they were cutting it however, they found the bullet hole and, finding the bullet, they noticed that it was a 50. caliber bullet, the only size Billy the Kid uses. Concluding that Billy must be in Clark, they decided to sleep that night out in the woods, and then go into town the next day.

Story Chapter 8

Frank was riding towards Clark, looking for anybody that he could ask for any details about Billy's position. As he was riding closer to Clark, he stopped at a man's house, who just happened to be James Larson, and asked him if he had seen Billy The Kid.

James said that he had, and that he wasn't supposed to tell anybody about their meeting, but seeing that he was the law, he would risk it. James told Frank all about how Billy attempted to rob him, and what direction he had left in and that he would like to go with Frank if he was looking for Billy, so Frank deputized him and let him come along.

Story Chapter 7

Once Billy knocked, there was a little pause, and then someone opened the door just a crack and , seeing Billy, opened the door, pulled Billy in, shut the door and locked it. "Where have you been" said the man who was at the door, whose name was Larry Wolf. "I've been on the road into town" said Billy jokingly while taking a good look at his companions who were all laying around with their feet on the table.

Billy's plan was to use his miner disguise every time he went into public, so that nobody would know that it was him, and when he was done robbing the bank, in his miner disguise, he would junk it on the way out of town. But as Billy was sitting tight in the hotel, Frank was riding on Buck ever closer to the small, sleepy, little town of Clark.

Story Chapter 6

Upon arriving in Clark, Billy went to the hotel, as this was his gang's meeting place. Before he got into town, he disguised himself like a gold miner, as there were lots of gold mines around there. Once inside the hotel he said to the clerk that he was staying with friends in room 24 and that he would like the extra key.
The clerk gave him the key, saying that he wanted it back, and that his bill was $47 because his friends were there for a while already. Billy paid the bill, and soon disappeared up the steps, and as he found room 24, he gave a knock, paused, then gave two more, knowing that he really didn't need the extra key, but it was extra security against snoops.

Story Chapter 5

Notice: I have made some changes to the story, so you can go to the beginning and read it over again for it to make more sense. ;-)

When Billy left, he was actually heading towards a different town named Clark. Here he was going to rob the bank, and as he had the rest of his gang in the town already, he should have no trouble being protected.

As he was riding towards town, he was thinking about his plan to rob the bank, but his thoughts were interrupted by a big grizzly bear, looking at him from the middle of the road! Quickly, Billy brought his gun up and shot at the bear. He dropped about ten feet away from Billy, but seeing that the bear was dead, he continued to ride towards his destination.

Story Chapter 4

As Frank was trying to find him, Billy the Kid was out trying to find someone or something to rob. He found this someone in the form of a man named James Larson. Mr. Larson and Billy the Kid both lived near the town of Springdale. Mr. Larson was a man who had thought about being a sheriff, somebody who knew all the tricks of the bad man's trade.
As Billy approached him, James knew he would have a hard time with Billy, so he readied himself for a fight, knowing that they would be found if a gun was shot. "Give my all your money" growled Billy, flashing his gun. "I don't have any" replied James. Now, as Billy saw that he was right, he decided to leave him be, after a good warning to keep quiet about their not-so- pleasant meeting.

Story Chapter 3

Once Frank finished his meal, he washed his dishes in the nearby brook as the sun was rising over the distant hills, then he pinned on his badge, as he was the sheriff, searching for Billy the Kid.
As soon as Buck finished munching his feed, he was saddled and bridled by his owner. Once Buck was ready, Frank checked his revolvers and rifle, then lept into Buck's saddle and rode off to scout out the position of Billy the Kid.

Story Chapter 2

Continued from last post...

After a good nights rest, Frank came out of his tent and went over to take care of his horse, Buck. Now, Buck was a very pretty horse, buckskin, and expertly trained for riding and roping. Buck had such powerful muscles, that he could outrun almost any horse that Frank and Buck came across.
After feeding his horse, Frank rekindled the fire, and started to cook up some breakfast, consisting of biscuits, baked on an open fire, coffee, and jerky.

Here is my story. Chapter 1

I started writing this a while ago, so it might seem like there are two different styles of writing here, but I will try to make it interesting. This is a FICTION story, so do not think that these characters are real people.

The Capable Sheriff of Cactus Ridge.

Once in our country's great history, in the town of Cactus Ridge, Arizona, there was a man by the name of Frank Smith. Now, Mr. Smith was young, strong, and handsome. He came from a good family; was a hard worker; and was handy with a horse, rope, gun, and knife.

Frank was a tall man, broad, thin, and his white cowboy hat covered black curly hair. He knew every part of the land by heart, and, as we step back in time, Frank is now eating by a crackling campfire. After finishing his meal of freshly shot turkey, jerky, and fresh spring water, he lies down in his tent and goes to sleep.
