Hockey Rink Fund.

Hi all,
Today, I made the Bornemann Hockey Rink Fund, which is for people to donate money to build a hockey rink on our place. It started this morning when Mom and I were milking the goats. I got started talking about hockey, and how I want a rink, so Mom suggested that I make a fund, and I did.

Anyway, we have been working on the building a lot here lately, and are now putting the flooring on the second floor. If you want some pictures, you can check other people's blogs. Mom just announced that she wants me to do more writing this year, so I am not done yet. :-(

If you want to donate to the Hockey Rink Fund, you can leave me a comment. ;-) I bought a copy of Farming Simulator 2011 the other day, and I would really recommend it to anybody that likes PC gaming. (see link on last post) Anyway, I had better go now.

Hockey party

Q: Describe the highlights of your hockey party.

A: My favorite part was just playing hockey with friends and having a good time. The highlights were when we were skating (Dagleys & us) and the Geigers came to join us. Basically, I just liked the whole thing and hope to do it again sometime with a whole bunch of friends, and get better at hockey.

Q. Describe how a game of hockey is played.

A. Official hockey is played indoors on ice rinks. There are 6 people with hockey sticks on the ice all the time, and they are trying to get a puck into the goal. A puck is hard, round, black, and about 3" in diameter, and a goal is a steel box with one open end that is 6' long and 4' high. Here is a hockey stick fact, Players used to curve their own blades by heating them in boiling water, with a torch or a blow dryer and then jamming them under a door and pulling up on the stick.

Time to go,

Jacob

The advantages of hockey skates

Q: Name 3 reasons why hockey skates are better then figure skates for playing hockey.

A: Here are my three reasons why.

  1. They have more support.
  2. They are better at turning.
  3. And they are more comfortable.

I must go now, so goodbye
