A German Composer...

Hey guys,
So Andrew read Mom a list of German composers, and thus mom figured I should write a entire post about one, so here goes...  For my post, I decided to research Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.  This info will be from the Wikipedia article on him.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart  27 January 1756 – 5 December 1791), baptised as Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart,[2] was a prolific and influential composer of the Classical era.

He composed over 600 works, many acknowledged as pinnacles of symphonic, concertante, chamber, operatic, and choral music. He is among the most enduringly popular of classical composers, and his influence on subsequent Western art music is profound; Beethoven composed his own early works in the shadow of Mozart, and Joseph Haydn wrote that "posterity will not see such a talent again in 100 years."

Mozart showed prodigious ability from his earliest childhood. Already competent on keyboard and violin, he composed from the age of five and performed before European royalty. At 17, he was engaged as a court musician in Salzburg, but grew restless and travelled in search of a better position, always composing abundantly. While visiting Vienna in 1781, he was dismissed from his Salzburg position.

He chose to stay in the capital, where he achieved fame but little financial security. During his final years in Vienna, he composed many of his best-known symphonies, concertos, and operas, and portions of the Requiem, which was largely unfinished at the time of his death. The circumstances of his early death have been much mythologized. He was survived by his wife Constanze and two sons.

This was just a very brief overview of Mozart, if you want full information, here's the link to the full Wikipedia article.  Hope you all didn't get too bored, I'll catch you next time.

New News:)

Hey guys,
There isn't much new going on around here today, the guys are out in the shop working on our feed truck that we bought at an auction sale earlier this year, Mom is doing a session, Cora is playing on her piano, and I'm doing my school work...

It has been very cold here over the past few days, with wind chills down to -30 I think, I'm not sure, all I know is it wasn't nice outside...  The thermometer says it's all the way up to 3 degrees now though, so I think I'll go sunbathe...... :P

I rode my snowmobile twice already, and it is very powerful!  Andrew has also found a snowmobile he is probably going to buy, so we're going to be doing some riding (maybe a little bit of brother vs. brother ice racing too:P) this winter. :)

For our history in school, Mom and I are watching several documentaries about World War 2, seeing how I've gotten interested in the history of that war over the past year.  It is some very interesting material!

Please pray for some nice warm weather for us so we can get our calves worked and weaned, as that still has to get done yet...  Anyway, have a nice day everybody, I'll talk to you all later, Jacob B. :)
