Update

Hey guys,
Not a whole lot new here, just the normal farm life during winter...  Our family has been battling a cold for a while now, and it's getting quite annoying, but most of us are still feeling good enough to work like normal, with just a annoying cough...

I've gotten my snowmobile back together now, and took it for a little ride once, but it doesn't want to start or idle right.  It appears to only run on 1 cylinder at idle until you run it up to about 2000 RPM when it runs fine.

Yeah, us guys are all confused on that one. :(  Andrew's been keeping busy with another pickup he got recently, Cora's been babysitting a lot, Dad's been trucking grain pretty regular now, and Mom's still got her clients...

Other then all that, we haven't done a whole lot lately, just been keeping busy in the shop, playing ping pong and working some of the time... :P  Anyway, it's time for me to go, so I'll TTYL, Jacob B. :)

Hogan's Hero's :)

Hey guys,
Just to let you all know, this is an assignment from Mom, not something I actually thought I'd sit down and write about.  Anyway, here goes, my favorite character from the TV show, Hogan's Hero's. :)

If I had to pick one character to be my favorite, I would have to say Newkirk, just because he's always funny and willing to do something dangerous for his country, although I do like all of the characters in the show.

Here's what Wikipedia says about the actor: "Richard Dawson (born Colin Lionel Emm; November 20, 1932 – June 2, 2012) was an English-born American actor and comedian, and a game show host and panelist in the United States.
Dawson was well known for playing Corporal Peter Newkirk on Hogan's Heroes, being the original host of the Family Feud game show from 1976–1985 and 1994–1995, and a regular panelist on the 1970s version of Match Game on CBS from 1973 to 1978. After a successful career in British television and cinema, Dawson moved to Los Angeles. In 1984, he became an American citizen while remaining a British subject.
In 2012, Dawson died of complications from esophageal cancer. He is buried at Westwood Memorial Park in Los Angeles."

^ Now there's a talented man!  Just got my parts order for my sled, so I'm going to go start bolting the engine back in that in a few minutes, so I'll talk to you all later.
Jacob. :)

Not Much New...

Hey guys,
Long time no write again, I've been busy with working on my sled, and having a party all of the past week almost, lol.  I'm still waiting for parts for my snowmobile yet, but when 1 part gets here we can start putting the engine back in it.... Yeah, long project... :(

Anyway, today, I'm really not sure what we're going to be doing.  Andrew's going to be working on his latest project that he bought the other day, a '05 F-250; Dad's probably going to help him, Mom's got sessions, don't know about Cora, and I've got school, but that's fine cause I couldn't work on the sled anyway.......

Other then that, not a whole lot new here, we all went up to Dad's parents place for Christmas, We bought 45 new cows and I bought 3 for myself out of that bunch, I've stuck more cash into the sled, yeah, everything's about normal... :P

Also, for everybody sitting there wondering "how much does he have into that dumb sled anyway", it's roughly $2500 with a few more parts to order, but not too much yet... I'll get you some pictures when I get it done. ;)

Well, I'll talk to you all later, Jacob B.

woops...

Hey guys,
Not much new going on here today, Dad's going down to Harried SD to watch the cow sale, Mom's working on a client right now, Cora's babysitting at the (other) neighbor's place, Andrew's posting BisMan ads, and I'm working on school...

Yesterday was a bit of a different story though.  Dad and I moved the rest of the hay home (rest of story coming in a bit); Mom and Andrew went up to Bismarck again; and Cora stayed home... 8o :P

Anyway, Dad and I went over to get the first load of hay in the morning.  He took the semi and flatbed and I took Andrews '08 RAM 2500 with his car trailer so that I could take home the odd 7 bales that wouldn't fit on the regular semi load.

  Well, on my way back...

Yep, I jackknifed 'er down in the ditch.  It's a long story, but more or less I was coming too fast into a turn and the trailer broke the back end of the pickup loose and took 'er right down the ditch sideways...

It's a long story.  If you guys want I can explain the whole thing in a comment, so let me know guys.
 TTYL, Jacob B.

A Nasty Weekend...

Hey guys,
It's been a little bit rough up here the past few days, apparently we all, except for Cora, got food poisoning from something, so Saturday was, well, not so pleasant...  Sunday was a lot better, and Today we're pretty much all over it, except for Mom...

I got some more of my snowmobile parts today, so I'll be going out to the shop later on to work on that some more, work on getting the reeds back in and some other odds and ends, might even try to put the whole engine back in the sled, not sure yet...

We're finally getting some snow on the ground here, so I kind of want to get my snowmobile done soon... :P   I'm not sure when we're going to set up our hockey rink though, but I hope it's soon! :)

Not sure what else to write about now, as there really hasn't been anything else of interest happening here, other then Andrew got the old John Deere sled out this morning... :)  Anyway, talk to you all later, Jacob B.

Snow!

Hey guys,
Not much new going on around here, outside of Andrew importing some of our Uncle Rick's music collection... :P  He's working on 1 of his 3 CD cases that are about 5' long and about 2 feet wide, and all full of good ol 60's and 70's music. :)

Today, Dad and Mom went up to Bismarck, as Mom had a session to do, and Dad needed to do some more loan paperwork; Cora went babysitting, Andrew just got home from hauling a load of hay home, and I'm working on my school work, and goofing off.. :P

Yesterday, Dad and I went over to our rented land over by Hazleton to get a load of hay home; and then after we got home at about 1:15, Dad; Andrew; and I went out and loaded up 2 cows to take to the butcher shop.

After we got them loaded up, Andrew and I messed around on the quads in the snow for a little bit, and after that, the rest of the day was kind of uneventful.  Well, I'll talk to you all later, Jacob B.

Open House

Hey guys,
Today, Mom; Cora; Andrew; and a friend went up to Bismarck for a open house party that Mom's business is putting on.  Everybody here has been working on that for the past few days, so not much else has hapened other then that...

My snowmobile is still all apart, although I did get the pistons on it the other day.  We're getting some snow on the ground though, so I better hurry up! :P  We still have the old John Deere if we needed to get through a lot of snow though...

Our latest family entertainment choices have turned towards WW2. Thats right, we're now all hooked on Hogan's Hero's! :)  Cora gave me the first season for my birthday, and then we found the rest online. :)

And now that I don't have anything else to talk about, I'm going to have to say goodbye, and farewell untill I write to you again. (wich might be a while:P)  Anyway, TTYL, Jacob B.
