News and PC games...

Hi guys, what's up?
Not much is going on right here, as Cora left for her friends house early this morning; Mom left for Bismarck early this morning; Dad is pushing some snow around; Andrew is heading out the door to work on the tractor, and I am doing school... ;-(
                                                       '
This morning, there was a lot of frost on the fences and everything, and, although I don't like winter all that much, it was a pretty sight.   Anyway, what do people think about the oncoming muddy situation?  I know I am not looking forward to it.

By the way, if you are interested in Agricultural Simulator, here is a link to a video of it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9aw-pAU12A4 Be warned, it takes a fairly high-powered PC to run this game at any amount of quality.  Note about video: really dumb music,so i suggest muting.

  Bye, Jacob B.

Hey Jacob,

I checked out Agriculture Simulator. It looks pretty cool. Do you own the game? I'm interested in downloading it but I would love to have someone's opinion on it before I do. Thanks.

Hi Josh,
Yes I do own it, and the game concept is very good, definatly worth buying, but the game was rushed and isn't quite finished yet.

They are going to be getting the next patch ready to go in the next couple of weeks, and that will fix the multiplayer and some other bugs. They are also working on an add on for it that you can buy, but that is still in the works.

They are getting the game in shape with time, but it was rushed to be released before the latest Farming Simulator, so there are bugs, and a few things are disabled and will be released in a future patch.

They are also going to make the game modable, but that is complicated, so I will go into that later if you want me to.

Bottom line: great game that was rushed, but when all bugs are fixed, it will be the best farming simulation on the market.

I will give you the link to where I bought my copy tomorrow, but right now I have to get to bed. Goodnight;-)

Hey Jacob,

Thanks for the review. Sounds like a sweet game. I'd love to have the link.

I've played Harvest Moon 64, which I thought was a good game, but this looks a lot more in depth as far was what you can do. Not that Harvest Moon 64 isn't fun or challenging (it actually can be difficult at parts).

That's great that their making the game modable. It's one great benefit of PC games as opposed to consoles. Allows for a lot more customization.

Hope you and your family have a great day.

sorry about not getting back sooner. I've been out spreding manure all day:P

Anyway, here is the link: (it is an instant download)http://www.amazon.com/Agricultural-Simulator-2011-Extended-Download/dp/B004I6D7MK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1305165156&sr=8-1

yes it is good to hear that they are making it modable, but they are not doing it right. :-( They are going to accept moddelers, then they will buy licences from manufacturers, then they will give a list of moddels to make, and then they will send the finished model to the developers to in-game it, instead of just letting the community make whatever. >:-(

I think they are trying to stay in control of the modding, but, in all fairness, they say that this is just a begining, so they might make it totaly open later.

I mentioned an add-on last time. it is a biogas plant and some more atttachments, and it is currently available on the germen Amazon as a preorder, but that is being made.

Here is the link to the game's homepage, but it is all german. http://www.agrar-simulator.de/
also, here is the link to te game fourm. just scrool down a little bit, and you will see the english suport section. Also, some of the important updates haven't been translated into english yet, so you may need google translate.

Gotta go, Jacob B.

Hey Jacob,

Manure? Sounds fun :). Actually, I spread some manure for a guy I work for yesterday, but it was aged, so it looked more like dirt.

I just downloaded the game. From the little I have played it seems pretty cool. I'd love to play online. Let me get everything set up and I will get back to you. I don't have an account or anything yet.

Hope you and your family had a great day.

Hey Jacob,

Sorry to bother you again. Do you think you could run by me where the forum is? I'd like to play multiplayer but I am a little confused on how the set up works. I think the comment where you shared your user name got erased when blogger was done several days ago. Thanks.

to play multiplayer, you just go in the game itself, and in the start menu, click multiplayer, then you can join a game, or host a game. we can talk about when we will meet on the fourms.

time to get to bed, Jacob
