Snowmobile

Hi all,
Today, Andrew and I took out the snowmobile for the first time on snow! It was really fun, except for when we got tipped over into the snow, but we are still learning how to drive it. All in all, we got it stuck once and dumped off 3 times. ; -)

Anyway, Cora is working in town right now, Dad is working on the truck, Andrew is working on the van, Mom is sleeping, and I am slowly working on school. Andrew got his new iPod touch (4th gen) today, and he is playing with that whenever he can. ;-)

Some hunters just pulled in the yard, and Dad is out there talking to them now. Now they just left. ;-) Well, I hope that all of you readers will have a good day, I have to go pretty soon, so I will just say goodbye now.

Bye,

Jacob

New Mattress

Hi all,
Yesterday, I had a big surprise! Andrew and I got early birthday gifts of new mattresses and sheets!!! I had to go in my room, and Dad and Andrew got in them in, and laid mine down on the living room floor. Then, they went to my room and blindfolded me.

Dad took my shoulders, and Andrew took my feet, and then they played around, swinging me, and then they counted down, and dropped me onto my new mattress! It was really fun, and I think someone got a video, so I will try to find it.

Anyway, we got some snow here today, so we are all staying inside today, except for chores. :-( Cora is in town now, and Andrew is messing with the internet here, and my computer can't decide whether it wants to stay connected or not, so I had better go.

Bye,

Jacob

Today's News

Hi all,

Today, it is very windy and so we are all staying inside, everybody that is here anyway. Dad is off trucking, Mom and Andrew are in Bismarck, and Cora and I just got done with school.
Here is my favorite picture from Dad and Mom's trip. It was taken in the Jelly Belly factory.

That big picture is completely made out of jelly beans! Do you know who it is? ;-) Anyway, Cora made some pumpkin butter today, and I can't wait to try some! Today for school, Cora assigned a computer maintenance thing, and we both got some good advice.
If you haven't noticed, I am rambling now because I don't have anything else to say, but Mom said I have to do three paragraphs now, so I need a filler. Blah Blah Blah... ;-) Anyway, I have some other things to do , so I will see you tomorrow.

Hockey Rink Fund.

Hi all,
Today, I made the Bornemann Hockey Rink Fund, which is for people to donate money to build a hockey rink on our place. It started this morning when Mom and I were milking the goats. I got started talking about hockey, and how I want a rink, so Mom suggested that I make a fund, and I did.

Anyway, we have been working on the building a lot here lately, and are now putting the flooring on the second floor. If you want some pictures, you can check other people's blogs. Mom just announced that she wants me to do more writing this year, so I am not done yet. :-(

If you want to donate to the Hockey Rink Fund, you can leave me a comment. ;-) I bought a copy of Farming Simulator 2011 the other day, and I would really recommend it to anybody that likes PC gaming. (see link on last post) Anyway, I had better go now.

I'm back!

Hi all,
Yes, I'm still here. We have been very busy lately, working on the building, sending Dad and Mom on vacation to San Fransisco, and the usual work. You can check Mom's blog or Cora's blog for more info.
Pheasant season is on now, and we found out that as long as you hunt on your own land, or land that you lease, you don't need a hunting licence. So sometime, Andrew and I are going to go hunt some pheasants. :-) Anyway, I have to go now,

Jacob

PS. A note to all PC gamers, I highly recommend this when it comes out on the 18th. http://www.farming-simulator.com/overview.php

Late post.

Hi all,

I know that I haven't been posting in a while, but we have been really busy making hay; getting ready for Grandpa's auction sale; Prairie Days; and regular farm life, that I haven't had time to write.

Anyway, here are some pictures of Praire Days:

Anyway, I have to go now, so until next time, goodbye.

Rain and wind.

Hi all,
Yesterday, the wind was really strong here, and by really strong, I mean 50MPH gusts! And not only that, there was rain/hail somewhere in there too. Alright, enough about the weather. Yesterday and today, the railroad is taking more of our rocks! (yaaay)

Right now, Andrew is going out to pick some rocks to add to the pile, so that they get out of here too! Actually, Dad, Andrew, and I have went out pick rocks yesterday and the day before that, and that is always a dreaded job. :-( I am running out of ideas, so I had better say bye.

Bye,

Jacob
